Description:

Cholesterol:

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance found in the blood. The body needs cholesterol to build healthy cells, but high levels of cholesterol can increase the risk of heart diseases. With high cholesterol levels, one can develop fatty deposits in the blood vessels.

Drug Introduction:

Rosuvastatin is an oral Anti-hyperlipoproteinemia drug. It is under the classification of HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitors (Statins).

Uses / Indications:

Rosuvastatin is used to prevent cardiovascular diseases in those at high-risk and to treat abnormal lipid levels. Rosuvastatin is used along with proper diet and exercise to help lower ‘bad’ cholesterol and fats and raises ‘good’ cholesterol in the blood.

Interactions / Warnings:

Follow the correct dosage prescribed by the doctor to avoid any kinds of side effects or negative impacts on your health.

This medication is to be only used when prescribed by a doctor and NOT to be self-administrated.

This drug may harm the fetus during pregnancy.
